The weeks and month’s are rolling on and I realise I am a little late reporting on our Summer completions. However, here’s just a taster of what we have been up to!!

WIDA Respite Care Centre, Waterford

Project works at Waterford Intellectual Disability Association (WIDA) involved the construction of two new one storey buildings which house a respite day centre including swimming pool and a respite home. Guardian Fire & Security were commissioned to provide the Fire Detection solution on this exciting project. A Voyager 1 Loop Addressable System protects the day centre whilst a Duo Cel 4 Zone Conventional System protects the respite home.

Ashbourne Primary Care Centre, Ashbourne, Co. Meath

This impressive 19,000 sq ft purpose built Primary Care Centre accommodates a Primary Care Team who provide a range of health and social care services including GP, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Public Health Nursing, Speech and Language and social care services amongst others. Developed through the Primary Care Infrastructure Initiative Scheme rolled out by the HSE, the scope of works completed by Guardian Fire & Security at Ashbourne included the supply and commissioning of two networked Voyager (1 Loop & 2 Loop) Addressable Fire Alarm panels and an ACT 1500E networked, fob controlled Access Control System with 20 entry points.

Giraffe Childcare, Elm Park, Merrion Road, Dublin 4.

Part of the progressive and well established preschool provider which boasts over 20 centres throughout Dublin, Giraffe at Elm Park is a purpose built childcare and early learning centre catering for children aged 6 months to 6 years. This project involved the supply and commissioning of an approved Duo Cel 4 Zone Conventional Fire Alarm System.

St Bridget’s N.S. Grange, Tullow, Co. Carlow.

Construction at St. Bridget’s N.S. reached completion with the addition of new classroom block, extension to existing community hall, canteen and toilets. A Fire Class Lite 1 Loop Addressable Panel together with audible and visual warning devices now provides state of the art fire protection for the school.

Scoil Mhuire, Greenhill, Carrick On Suir, Co. Tipperary

A CEIST School, Scoil Mhuire has been providing secondary education for girls in Carrick On Suir since the 1960’s. A Morley Dimension Addressable Fire Alarm Panel protects the existing school building. Recent project works included the appointment of Guardian Fire & Security to re -commission this system.

Ferns Community Centre, Ferns, Co. Wexford

Renovation works at the Ferns Community Centre included the supply and commissioning of a FireClass Lite 1 Loop Addressable Control Panel. FireClass, a revolutionary new range of commercial protection uses a robust digital protocol which is third party approved and certified to EU standards. The centre now boasts a racquetball and handball alley, indoor badminton and recreational area, rehersal area and various meeting rooms.

Tullow Community School, Tullow, Co. Carlow.

Tullow Commuity School established in 1978 is a co – educational, multi – denominational school. Recent works carried out at the school included the supply and commissioning of a FireClass 64 Two Loop Addressable System.

Discoveryland Creche, Newlands, Wexford.

Established in 2003, Discoveryland provides Full and Part Time day care, Montessori and Afterschool, works at the crèche included the supply and commission of an EN54 approved conventional 4 Zone Duo Cel Panel.
