Servicing & Maintenance:

At Guardian Fire & Security we offer a full suite of Service & Maintenance Packages for your Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, Fire Extinguishers & Hose Reels.

All our Service/Maintenance packages are designed and implemented to ensure compliance with the relevant standard. Our dedicated Service Manager, will notify you in advance of when your next visit is due and arrange a mutually convenient time for servicing.

Fire Detection & Alarm System Service/Maintenance Packages:

Irish Standard 3218:2009 now places an onus on the owner/occupier of a building to ensure that the Fire Alarm system is serviced and maintained.

Section 8.1.1.1 states “the person having control over the premises shall ensure that work necessary to maintain the system is carried out” and 8.2.1 recommends that “normally an agreement should be made with a competent contractor or competent in- house resource for regular servicing”

Section 8.2.1 further states “Servicing shall be undertaken following the commissioning of installation whether the premises are occupied or not. The requirement for servicing is a statutory requirement and independent of any obligations of the installer under defects liability”

Standard Contract

Our standard Fire Detection & Alarm System Service/Maintenance contract provides for the following:

4 service visits per annum and issuance of associated documentation in accordance with IS3218:2009
24 Hr Callout, 365 days a year at reduced rates
Technical/Telephone support from our specialised Fire Manager
12 month warranty for any additional equipment fitted
Free review of your fire requirements
Staff Training/Instruction on use of Fire Alarm System

Customers have the option to upgrade to a Comprehensive contract which includes all of the above plus unlimited callouts or Comprehensive Plus which includes unlimited callouts and parts/labour.

Fire Extinguisher & Hose Reel Service/Maintenance Packages:

Irish Standard 291:2002 which governs the Use, Siting, Inspection & Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers dictates that all portable Fire Extinguishers be maintained annually and periodically discharged and refilled.

Annual service visit and issuance of associated documentation in accordance with IS291:2002
Inspection of Extinguishers as required
Inspection of Hose Reels as required
24 Hr Callout, 365 days a year at reduced rates
12 month warranty for any additional equipment fitted
Free review of your fire requirements

Customers have the option to upgrade to a Comprehensive contract which includes all of the above plus extinguisher refills as required under IS291:2002.
