At Guardian Fire & Security we specialise in providing a wide range of technologies for all your fire detection needs.
We can provide systems utilising conventional equipment which is suitable for smaller premises or intelligent addressable equipment for larger premises as well as advanced flame detection and air sampling systems. We constantly meet with our suppliers to ensure that we are bringing cutting edge products to the market.
Guardian Fire and Security was one of the first companies to achieve registration and certification to IS3218:2009, The Irish Standard governing Fire Detection & Alarm Systems for Buildings - System Design, Installation, Servicing & Maintenance.
From initial enquiry, our qualified engineers can carry out a full on site evaluation of your requirements and provide detailed reports, design specifications, quotations and project management to ensure trouble free installation and commissioning of your system.

Conventional Fire Detection:
CB200
The CB200 panel conforms to EN54-2 and is available in 1, 2, 4 and 8 zone formats. The panel is code operated and comes with fire / fault relays as well as an auxiliary 250 mA 24vdc supply. Both the 1 and 2 zone panels have two bell circuits while the 4 and 8 zone panels have four bell circuits.
Precept EN

The Precept EN panel is LPCB approved to EN54-2 and is supplied in a 2 to a 32 zone format. The panel is key switch operated and comes with fire / fault relays as well as an auxiliary 250 mA 24vdc supply with the choice to extend the panel with a variety of expansion board options. All panels have four bell circuits as standard.
Duo-Cel
The Duo-Cel panel was launched in 2009 in order to provide a budget LPCB approved EN54-2 panel and again is available in 1, 2, 4, and 8 zone formats. The panel is key switch operated and comes with fire / fault relays as well as an auxiliary 250 mA 24vdc supply. Both the 1 and 2 zone panels have two bell circuits while the 4 and 8 zone panels have four bell circuits.
Conventional Detection & Signalling Equipment:
Guardian Fire & Security supply the GLT Fyreye conventional detector range which is fully LPCB approved, as well as using the latest KAC Resettable call points.
We provide the Vantage signalling device range consisting of their 32 tone sounder and sounder / beacons as well as conventional sounder bases and bed head sounders.

Addressable Fire Detection:
Voyager Single and two loop Panel
The Voyager control panel is compliant with EN54 parts 2 and 4, BS EN 60950 and BS EN 50130 part 4. It comes in a single or two loop version, and is compatible with both the Apollo XP95 and Discovery device ranges. The panel is network capable via a network or repeater driver card and uses a 40 character display to allow more text to be displayed. The panel has two on board Fire relays as well as an onboard fault relay. It has an onboard auxiliary 500 mA 24vdc supply and has two conventional bell circuits.
Discovery Single and four loop Panel
The Discovery control panel is LPCB approved to EN54 parts 2 and 4. It comes in a single or four loop version, and is compatible with both the Apollo XP95 and Discovery device ranges. The panel is network capable via a network or repeater driver card and uses a 40 character display to allow more text to be displayed. The panel has two on board fire relays as well as an onboard fault relay. It has an onboard auxiliary 500 mA 24vdc supply and has two conventional bell circuits.
The panel can be provided in a large enclosure also to allow for the provision of additional interface boards.
Programmable Interface Boards

8 Way Alarm Board 8 Way Relay Card
By using the CEL line driver board it is possible to extend the capabilities of the Voyager or Discovery control panels to include an 8 – way relay card which provides 8 relay outputs as well as 8 inputs, all of which are programmable, or alternatively an 8 – way alarm board which provides 8 programmable sounder circuits rated at 1 amp. Each of these alarm circuits can be programmed as pulsing or continuous
Addressable Detection & Signalling Equipment:
We supply the Apollo XP95 and Discovery detector range of open protocol devices. These ranges are fully LPCB approved as well as holding several other approvals from recognised bodies.

Utilising the XP95 and Discovery detector range of sounders and sounder / beacons we can also provide a fully addressable system whereby all components are fully programmable down to the sound level of each device.
Linear Heat Detection:
There are several different options of linear heat detection. These range from the single use cable, which once activated the damaged portion is removed and replaced, to the spot locating type, which indicates the position of the fire by giving the distance from the control panel to the alarm location and finally to the addressable high end cable, which uses sensors built into the cable at specific distances which can be addressed and show an exact position of the alarm.
Heat detection cable has a variety of uses and is regularly used in Electric Rooms, Tunnels, Conveyer Belts, Spray Booths, Voids & Attic Spaces.
Single Use Linear Cable
We supply the HDC – 68 and HDC – 105 cable ranges which have alarm temperatures of 68 degrees Celsius and 105 degrees Celsius respectively.
Spot Locating Linear Cable
Using the Spot locating Linear Cable has the added feature of giving the distance of the “hot-spot” from the controller. This allows the system to be zoned hence giving a better indication of the alarm location.
In the event of a pre-alarm, the control module will show the distance along the cable of the heat source from the controller. This will allow the responsible person to investigate the cause of the alarm, in advance of combustion.
Beam Detection:
The Fire Beam replaces the older transmitter and receiver technology providing a beam that is easy to setup and self aligns to prevent false alarms.
The unit is configured via a low level controller which reduces the commissioning time considerably.
The Fire Beam can cover distances from 5 – 100 meters and can now be powered via the XP95 detection loop reducing the need for additional power supplies.
Early Warning / Aspirating Systems:
VESDA (Very Early Warning Smoke Detection) is an air sampling system that provides fro the earliest possible warning of an impending fire. This system can detect even minute levels of smoke before a fire has time to build through a system of sampling pipe work
.

Vesda systems are ideal for areas such as:
• Server rooms
• Clean rooms
• Telecommunications facilities
• Warehouses
• Atriums
• Indoor stadiums
• Theatres and Convention centres
The VESDA Range consists of the LaserPLUS, LaserSCANNER, LaserCOMPACT and LaserFOCUS, ensuring that there is a product to match your needs.
Ancillary Devices:
The Fireco range of ancillary fire alarm devices provides an easy and compliant way of adding devices to an existing fire alarm system.
The System X Hardwired solution provides a failsafe way of holding fire doors in place without the need for cabling. The System X Interface links into the existing fire alarm system and once activated via a dry contact the doors release.
The Deafguard unit provides a means of alerting the hearing impaired via a vibrating pad. This pad is placed under the user’s pillow and once the System X interface is activated the pad receives a wireless signal to activate, waking the user.
